Villaverde is a quaint Canarian village in the north of Fuerteventura, close to Corralejo. It has a couple of large supermarkets, a bakery, rural hotel, numerous
villas (of course), 2 Spanish bars and 3 restaurants. Restaurante Mahoh or El Horno are particularly highly recommended and the meat dishes are especially
good. The agricultural museum and the 2 windmills on the ridge, are also well worth a visit. As the village is in an elevated position, there are great views
of the beaches, ocean and of Lanzarote. The nearest beach is Corralejo or El Cotillo, which would be a 15 minute drive. Villaverde is a great resort for those
interested in getting away from the hustle and bustle of the busier resorts.
